With a background in pattern cutting, costume and dance, Kate brings expertise from across disciplines to her design and making process. 

Light, shape, colour and movement are evocative constituents of her creations. Kate draws inspiration from everyday objects, often questioning the boundaries of the human body through her designs. She deliberately brings different mediums into contact when making, often creating a juxtaposition between the structural and the obscure. It is in this interaction that she is able to transform the human figure, vibrantly and extravagantly pushing the boundaries of our embodied being.
